This document is a case study detailing the implementation of self-service kiosks by the Las Vegas Valley Water District (LVVWD). The objective was to provide 24/7 payment options for residents, addressing the limitations of in-person payment methods and an unreliable existing kiosk solution. The approach involved installing four kiosks, two indoors and two outdoors, which allowed customers who preferred not to pay online to make payments in person. The outcome of this initiative was positive, with 84% of kiosk users being repeat customers and an average of 1,500 transactions per month. The kiosks generated approximately $180,000 in annual savings for the utility by streamlining processes and reallocating staff resources to focus on more complex tasks. Additionally, the integration of Euna Payments’ Revenue Management tool facilitated real-time payment tracking and reduced the need for staff to undergo annual PCI training, further enhancing operational efficiency.
