Culinary Journey of Dhiraj at Sherrell House

This case study documents the culinary journey of Dhiraj, the Head Chef at Sherrell House Care Home. It outlines his extensive experience in the catering industry, beginning with his upbringing in Mumbai, India, where he was inspired by his father's restaurant. Dhiraj graduated from The University of Mumbai in 2016 with a Degree in Hospitality and subsequently worked at The Oberoi Hotel, gaining knowledge in various cuisines. In pursuit of further education, he moved to England to obtain a Master’s Degree in Hospitality from the University of Birmingham. After working at The Ivy in Birmingham, he accepted a position at Sherrell House in October 2022. Dhiraj has since tailored the menu to meet the cultural and dietary needs of the residents, enhancing their dining experience. His commitment to culinary excellence is evident through his recent completion of a course on the presentation of pureed foods, ensuring that all meals are both visually appealing and flavorful.
