This case study details the implementation of the ExpertusONE digital learning management system (LMS) by the U.S. Government Publishing Office (GPO) to address the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. GPO, established in 1861, faced a pressing need for rapid digital transformation to support its workforce of 1,600 employees, who required individualized training across various roles. The agency operates under strict compliance standards set by the U.S. Office of Personnel Management, necessitating a robust training solution. The ExpertusONE LMS was selected due to its modular design, which allows for personalized course recommendations, and its ability to meet compliance and reporting requirements. The implementation of this digital LMS enabled GPO to maintain operational continuity, enhance productivity, and effectively manage training for a hybrid workforce. The results included improved efficiency, compliance with reporting requirements, and the ability to address diverse training needs, ensuring GPO's critical role in disseminating government information continued seamlessly.
