This case study details the network infrastructure deployment at Universidad APEC (UNAPEC) in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. The university faced challenges in improving network stability, simplifying technology deployments, and enhancing scalability to support academic applications. In partnership with Extreme Networks, UNAPEC implemented a future-proof Wi-Fi network that addressed these issues by minimizing manual management and IT requests. The deployment covered 200 classrooms within a year, significantly improving wireless coverage and bandwidth for an increasing number of users and devices. The solutions introduced advanced network automation, allowing the IT team to proactively manage network performance and focus on enhancing the educational experience for students. The case study outlines the operational efficiencies gained, including reduced IT support requests and improved connectivity, which collectively contribute to a modernized learning environment. Additionally, it highlights plans for future growth and the adoption of new technologies to further enhance network capabilities.
