Automation of Payments Process for Leading Bank

This technical report details the automation of the payments process for a leading bank in India as part of the PUNGRAIN project. The initiative aimed to establish an end-to-end electronic payment system that minimizes manual intervention in transferring funds to 'Arthia' accounts. Key components of the project included the design and development of the e-Finclusiv application, procurement and management of micro ATMs, and the establishment of a robust support system for operational challenges. The report outlines the geographical and infrastructural challenges faced during the project, such as poor connectivity and power supply issues. It also describes the implementation of Aadhaar-enabled payments and the meticulous review mechanisms established to ensure operational efficiency. The successful deployment of 60 micro ATMs resulted in a consistent transaction success rate of over 86 percent, showcasing the effectiveness of the solution in meeting the business goals of the bank and PUNGRAIN.
