Banca Transilvania Business Banking Application Development

This document is a case study detailing the development of BT Go, a digital business banking application created by Banca Transilvania. The project was initiated in response to the identified need for a dedicated banking solution tailored for businesses, as existing retail banking applications were insufficient for business-specific financial management. The case study outlines the strategic decision-making process that led to the development of BT Go, including feedback from business banking customers and the involvement of key stakeholders within the bank. The project commenced in August 2020, initially relying on in-house developers, and expanded to include a team of 60 members by 2021, with Finshape providing expertise in agile delivery and project management. The MVP was launched for closed testing in October 2022, and the official launch occurred in July 2023. The application includes features such as online account opening, automated invoicing, and document uploads, and has seen positive user adoption since its release.
