Priority Ambulance IT Infrastructure Enhancement

This case study details the partnership between Priority Ambulance and Flexential, focusing on the implementation of a hybrid IT infrastructure to enhance emergency medical services. Priority Ambulance, a rapidly growing private ambulance service, faced challenges related to low-latency data delivery and the need for reliable IT systems to support its operations across 14 states. The collaboration with Flexential involved deploying the FlexAnywhere™ Platform, which provided a scalable solution for colocation, interconnection, and data protection. The case study outlines how the integration of Flexential's services improved application performance and reliability, enabling Priority Ambulance to respond to emergency calls with reduced latency. The results included a significant decrease in roundtrip delivery speeds, from 70 milliseconds to 11-12 milliseconds, thereby facilitating quicker medical interventions. Additionally, the implementation of disaster recovery and backup solutions ensured the resilience of Priority Ambulance's operations, safeguarding sensitive patient data and maintaining service continuity during disruptions.
