This case study details the implementation of a campus-wide scheduling system at Otterbein University using FMX. Prior to this system, event organization was complicated due to multiple building representatives managing their own calendars. The objective was to streamline the scheduling process and integrate classroom schedules to ensure accurate space availability. FMX provided a solution that allowed all campus spaces to be managed within one system, including a University-wide activity calendar accessible to students and faculty. The case study outlines the challenges faced, such as accommodating numerous spaces across campus, and how FMX addressed these issues. It highlights the ease of submitting event requests through Office 365 University log-in and the use of configurable request forms to capture necessary event details. The implementation resulted in increased visibility for the Otterbein Police Department regarding campus events and improved safety. The study also notes that 57,000 events were held on campus last year, showcasing the effectiveness of the new system.
