Final Report on Biodiversity Analysis Services

This technical report outlines the services provided and the results of the biodiversity analysis conducted under Deliverable 2.5. It summarizes the work carried out for the delivery of previous deliverables, detailing the means and methods used throughout the project, along with the outcomes of the data analysis. The report emphasizes the process of data acquisition and its implications for monitoring and evaluation. It highlights gaps identified in current methodologies and provides recommendations for the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) aimed at improving monitoring activities. Recommendations also focus on the potential development of the FSC forest management certification framework towards a more outcome-based approach. The analysis included both quantitative and qualitative results, illustrating the impact of various conservation measures. Limitations of the report are acknowledged, particularly regarding the geographical scope of the analysis, which focused on selected municipalities rather than the entirety of Finland.
