Enhancing CEDRIC Platform for GenAI Workloads

This technical report discusses the enhancement of the CEDRIC platform by the South Western Sydney Local Health District (SWSLHD) to better handle GenAI workloads and large datasets. The report outlines the collaboration with Fujitsu to integrate an NVIDIA DGX POD High Performance Computer into the CEDRIC platform, which is essential for managing the computational demands of these workloads. The AI Test Drive Program facilitated the completion of various GenAI use cases, such as Clinical Decision Support and automated mental health forms. The report details the objectives of the enhancement project, which include developing infrastructure for data collection and analysis, implementing tools for informed decision-making, and monitoring patient outcomes post-discharge. It emphasizes the importance of maintaining sensitive patient data on-premises while addressing the compute challenges faced by CEDRIC. The outcomes of the program are highlighted, showcasing improvements in patient care and operational efficiency.
