Unified Cybersecurity System Modeling of Naval Control Systems

This document is a technical report detailing the development and implementation of the Strategic Optics for Intelligent Analytics (SOFIA) software tool by G2 Ops for the Navy. The objective of SOFIA is to provide a scalable and integrated tool for comprehensive cybersecurity analysis of Naval Control Systems (NCS). The report outlines the challenges faced by the Navy, particularly the need for a unified enterprise solution capable of near real-time scenario modeling to assess mission risk from cyber threats. It describes how SOFIA leverages model-based systems engineering (MBSE) and integrates data from various intelligence sources to enhance risk assessment. The report also discusses the transition from concept to operational tool, highlighting the funding phases and the tool's effectiveness during deployments. Additionally, it presents the benefits of SOFIA in improving the Navy's cybersecurity posture and its adaptability for various applications, as well as future enhancements planned under ongoing contracts.
