This technical report presents the findings of a meta-analysis examining the relationship between employee engagement and organizational outcomes across 347 organizations. The study aims to clarify the true relationship between employee engagement and performance, assess the consistency of this relationship across various organizations, and evaluate the practical implications for executives and managers. The analysis incorporates data from 736 research studies, encompassing 183,806 business and work units with over 3.3 million employees across 53 industries and 90 countries. The results indicate a significant correlation between employee engagement and multiple performance outcomes, including customer loyalty, profitability, productivity, and turnover rates. The findings suggest that organizations with higher employee engagement levels experience markedly better performance metrics. The report concludes that the Q12 measure can be reliably applied in diverse organizational contexts to capture critical performance-related information.
