This document is a case study detailing the implementation of the BlazeCare Communicator by a physician-led network of healthcare providers in New York during the COVID-19 pandemic. The network, which serves over 500,000 Medicaid beneficiaries, was tasked with overseeing COVID-19 testing and vaccination efforts. Faced with challenges in effective mass communication due to the high volume of patients and logistical barriers, the network sought a scalable and compliant communication tool. The BlazeCare Communicator was deployed within a week, enabling the network to send text messages to thousands of patients simultaneously. This tool improved patient response rates and facilitated timely communication regarding vaccine appointments, especially during emergencies like Winter Storm Orlena. The case study highlights the effectiveness of the Communicator in meeting compliance requirements and its ongoing use for patient engagement beyond the pandemic.
