This document is a research article that presents a cross-sectional study comparing six handheld ultrasound devices evaluated by point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) experts. The devices compared include the Vscan Air™, Butterfly iQ™, Clarius™, Kosmos™, Lumify™, and Mindray™. A total of 35 experts from various medical specialties assessed these devices based on their ability to acquire standard ultrasound views on standardized patients. The study focused on key aspects such as image quality, ease of use, and overall satisfaction. The findings indicate that Vscan Air™ was rated highest in ease of use and overall satisfaction, particularly excelling in imaging the right upper quadrant, which is crucial for abdominal assessments. The study concludes that while all devices have strengths, Vscan Air™ stands out for its combination of wireless connectivity, compact design, and superior imaging capabilities, making it the preferred choice among clinicians for point-of-care ultrasound applications.
