Eindhoven Upgrades Digital Evidence Management System

This case study details the upgrade of Eindhoven's digital evidence management system through the implementation of Genetec Clearance. As the fifth largest city in The Netherlands, Eindhoven has a strong history of innovation, particularly in technology. The city authorities recognized the need for a more efficient way to manage video evidence from their public safety camera network, which had previously been the responsibility of the Eindhoven Police Department. With the centralization of camera management, the city sought an intelligent platform to streamline operations. Genetec Clearance was selected for its ability to integrate with existing systems and improve the request and sharing process of video evidence. The cloud-based software enhances speed, reliability, and privacy, allowing authorities to manage footage requests in a centralized manner. An audit trail is generated for compliance, and the platform has significantly improved cooperation between city authorities and the National Police, resulting in time savings and increased efficiency.
