Meander Medical Center Video Operations Upgrade Case Study

This case study details the Meander Medical Center's response to increased healthcare demands during the COVID-19 pandemic. The hospital, located in Amersfoort, Netherlands, faced significant challenges due to staff shortages and a surge in patient care needs. In response, the hospital converted operating rooms into Intensive Care Units (ICUs) to accommodate more patients, which increased the workload for staff. To alleviate this burden, the hospital sought a solution to monitor ICU patients more efficiently. The IT department implemented Genetec Omnicast, a video surveillance system, along with Axis Communications IP video cameras.
