The implementation included structured Bills of Materials, work centers, and routing to define each step from raw material to finished product. Key challenges addressed included precise raw material consumption, inventory accuracy, and reliable costing. The case study outlines the introduction of a scrap and recycling management process to track scrap quantities and improve material waste management. Additionally, it describes the establishment of product costing based on various factors, labor tracking, and the implementation of MRP and MPS for automated planning and scheduling.
