This technical report presents a comparative analysis of different analytical techniques for flavor and fragrance analysis in consumer products, focusing on dynamic headspace (DHS) and traditional methods such as static headspace (SHS) and solid phase microextraction (SPME). The objective is to evaluate the efficiency and data quality of these methods when analyzing perfumes and flavored products. The report outlines the challenges faced in accurately quantifying volatile compounds in complex matrices and describes the advantages of using DHS, which requires minimal sample preparation and significantly reduces analysis time. The analysis was conducted using the GERSTEL Universal Platform, detailing specific conditions for each method. Results indicate that while traditional methods may yield qualitative results, DHS provides improved data quality and recovery rates. The findings emphasize the importance of selecting appropriate analytical techniques for quality control and market observation in the flavor and fragrance industry.
