This case study presents the implementation of an AI-driven chatbot by MAPFRE, a leading multinational insurance company, to enhance project management practices. The challenge faced by MAPFRE was the need for efficient search and retrieval of technical documentation and APIs, essential for its developers. With a workforce of around 2,000 technologists, the company recognized the potential of AI to streamline access to a vast array of documents and resources. The engagement involved a team of eight cloud specialists from GFT who developed the chatbot using AWS tooling within a four-month timeframe. The chatbot integrates with the MAPFRE marketplace, allowing users to search through a comprehensive library of over 60,000 APIs. This strategic solution not only improves access to technical tools but also promotes best practices in development, encouraging collaboration and exploration in a secure environment. The project has been recognized as a significant innovation, particularly at the AWS summit.
