This case study details the implementation of a comprehensive cybersecurity solution at Hospital Sírio-Libanês, a prominent healthcare provider in Brazil. The hospital faced significant challenges in monitoring network traffic and ensuring compliance with the Brazilian General Personal Data Protection Act (LGPD). Chief Information Security Officer Leandro Ribeiro identified the need for improved visibility and security capabilities, particularly in a hybrid IT environment where a large portion of applications were hosted in the cloud. The solution involved the integration of Gigamon's Deep Observability Pipeline, ExtraHop, and Claroty Medigate, which collectively enhanced the hospital's ability to detect and respond to cyber threats. The implementation allowed for comprehensive monitoring of network activity, including IoT devices, thereby reducing the risk of unauthorized access and data breaches. Furthermore, the solution facilitated compliance with regulatory requirements, ultimately improving patient safety and operational efficiency. The case study highlights the significant benefits gained through this strategic partnership.
