Custom API Integration for Gift Data Processing

This document is a case study detailing the implementation of a custom API integration at Lake Forest College to streamline the transfer of gift data from GiveCampus to their Slate CRM. The college aimed to enhance its online giving process ahead of Forester Day, an annual spring giving event. Previously, the data transfer involved a manual process that required significant time and effort from the Assistant Director of Slate Data and CRM Operations. The development team, led by the Director of Enterprise Applications, created a custom integration using Constituo’s integration platform. This solution automated the data upload process, reducing manual processing time by over 50%. The integration not only improved efficiency but also minimized the risk of errors during data handling. The results were evident during Forester Day, where the college raised a record amount, demonstrating the effectiveness of the new system in facilitating fundraising activities.
