Clinician Experience Analysis with Epic Hyperdrive

This case study documents the approach taken by a large health system to address clinician complaints regarding the speed and reliability of Epic Hyperdrive. The health system engaged Goliath Technologies to analyze empirical data to gain a comprehensive understanding of clinician experiences. The study outlines the challenges faced, including the limitations of traditional subjective reporting methodologies, which often resulted in low participation rates and ambiguous feedback. Goliath Technologies established a complete dataset by correlating data from all clinicians without requiring their participation, thus providing a nuanced view of the issues. The results indicated that while overall EHR speed and reliability were acceptable, specific locations experienced significant problems not attributed to Epic Hyperdrive. The findings facilitated collaboration between Clinical and IT teams, leading to the approval of remediation actions based on factual data rather than opinions. This data-driven approach ultimately improved clinician experience and enhanced the efficiency of remediation efforts.
