This case study outlines Kaizen Gaming's modernization of its log management infrastructure to enhance performance and reliability. The company, which operates the Betano brand in the online gaming and sports betting industry, faced significant challenges with its aging Graylog Open cluster. Issues included slowdowns and outages during peak gaming events, rising maintenance complexity, and limited visibility across a large microservices environment. To address these challenges, Kaizen replaced its old system with Graylog Enterprise, achieving a tenfold increase in processing speed and maintaining 99.95 percent availability. The collaboration with Graylog involved architecture reviews, performance tuning, and knowledge sharing, which improved operational efficiency. Key outcomes included reduced message-handling time, clearer observability, and lower operational costs through intelligent log routing and a Data Lake for long-term retention. The deployment was completed ahead of schedule, resulting in a robust logging environment capable of supporting high-volume traffic and enhancing user experience.
