This case study details the implementation of CheckinAsyst at Knoxville Pediatric Associates to automate patient intake workflows. The practice faced challenges with manual check-in processes that were time-consuming and inefficient, leading to poor patient experiences. By adopting digital solutions such as pre-registration links, QR code check-ins, and iPad-assisted check-ins, the practice significantly reduced wait times and improved overall patient engagement. The automated system allowed for essential information to be captured efficiently, saving approximately 15-20 minutes per patient. The integration with Greenway Prime Suite facilitated seamless access to patient data, enhancing clinician productivity and reducing paperwork. Additionally, the practice utilized digital communication tools to promote wellness visits and flu vaccinations, further improving patient engagement and reducing no-show rates. The transition to a digital workflow not only streamlined operations but also fostered a more flexible and stress-free check-in experience for families visiting the practice.
