This document is an executive summary of a collaborative project between GSK and North West Leicestershire GP Federation Ltd aimed at improving access to National Adult Immunisation Programmes in the Northwest Leicestershire area. The project seeks to address healthcare inequalities by increasing the uptake of shingles and pneumococcal vaccinations among eligible patients in NHS practices. It outlines the provision of non-clinical staff, known as Primary Care Immunisation Facilitators, who will assist in identifying and recalling eligible patients for vaccination. The project will run from April 2025 to October 2025 and includes contributions from both GSK and NWL, detailing the estimated costs associated with the initiative. The intended benefits include improved health outcomes for patients, reduced health inequalities, and enhanced capability for local practices to implement immunisation programmes effectively. A Summary of Outcomes Report will be published on the GSK website following project completion.
