This document is an executive summary of a collaborative working project between GSK and West Knowsley Primary Care Network (WK-PCN) aimed at improving access to National Adult Immunisation Programmes in the Knowsley area. The project focuses on addressing healthcare inequality by increasing the uptake of the Shingles and Pneumococcal National Immunisation Programmes across WK-PCN NHS practices. The initiative will provide non-clinical staff, known as Primary Care Immunisation Facilitators, to assist in identifying eligible patients and managing vaccination processes. The project is set to run from January 2025 to June 2025, with contributions from both GSK and WK-PCN. The intended benefits include improved health outcomes for patients, reduced health inequalities, and enhanced capability for WK-PCN to implement immunisation programmes effectively. A Summary of Outcomes Report will be published on the GSK website within six months of project completion.
