This technical report presents the findings of the EBONI study, which evaluates the experiences of healthcare providers (HCPs) after 12 months of implementing Cabotegravir Long-Acting Injectable PrEP (CAB LA) for Black women. Conducted from August 2022 to February 2025, the study involved 84 HCPs across 15 clinics who completed surveys and qualitative interviews. The report details the demographics of the HCPs and outlines the implementation strategies used in the study, including standard and enhanced approaches. Results indicate that clinic capacity to provide CAB LA tripled over the year, with HCPs rating CAB LA as highly appropriate, acceptable, and feasible. The report also highlights ancillary health benefits associated with bi-monthly visits, such as increased opportunities for screening sexually transmitted infections and providing additional health care. The findings suggest that CAB LA can be effectively integrated into various clinic types to expand PrEP access for Black women.
