This evaluation paper assesses the educational impact of Ignite by Hatch™ on kindergarten readiness among preschool-aged children. The study, conducted in partnership with the Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning, involved observing 66 children across eight summer transition program sites in Atlanta. Researchers tracked engagement and content retention during gameplay, while 80 teachers provided feedback through a survey. Key findings indicate that Ignite maintained high engagement levels, with children scoring an average of 4.5 out of 5 on attention during play. Additionally, 62% of children accurately recalled key academic concepts post-gameplay. Teacher feedback revealed that 87% reported positive impacts on learning, particularly in engagement and skill development. The study highlights the effectiveness of Ignite in fostering engagement and supporting skill retention, thereby enhancing children's readiness for kindergarten. The methodology included direct observations and reflections from children, alongside a comprehensive analysis of teacher assessments, providing a thorough understanding of Ignite's educational impact.
