This case study details the implementation of Ignite by Hatch™ within the pre-kindergarten program at Clayton County Public Schools (CCPS) during the 2023–2024 school year. The initiative aimed to enhance kindergarten readiness through play-based learning while minimizing the assessment burden on teachers. The program involved 16 classrooms across 10 sites, with a recommendation for each child to engage with Ignite for 30 minutes weekly. The platform promotes growth across seven developmental domains and provides actionable data via the Insights by Hatch™ dashboard. Educators reported increased engagement and the ability to tailor instruction based on real-time data. The case study highlights measurable improvements in literacy screener scores for classrooms using Ignite compared to those that did not. Ultimately, the implementation of Ignite successfully aligned with CCPS's vision of prioritizing play in early education, resulting in better preparedness for students entering early elementary school.
