This document outlines a seminar focused on German employment law, offered in both in-person and live online formats. It aims to provide participants with a practical introduction to the complexities of German employment legislation, particularly for international companies operating in Germany. The seminar covers various topics, including the German social security system, civil law systems, employee hiring processes, employment contracts, minimum wage regulations, and working time laws. It also addresses day-to-day employment management, performance evaluations, and procedures related to disciplinary actions and grievances. Additionally, the seminar discusses the formation and role of the Works Council, co-determination in human resources, and the legal aspects of termination, including unfair dismissal protections. Participants will engage in case studies and discussions to enhance their understanding.
