This case study details the implementation of HealthTalk A.I. at Jackson-Hinds Comprehensive Health Center, the largest Federally Qualified Health Center in Mississippi. The primary objective was to reduce high no-show rates, which were impacting patient care and revenue. The center faced challenges such as lost capacity, limited access, and a burden on staff due to manual capacity management and disconnected electronic health record workflows. By deploying an automated no-show management strategy, the center transitioned from reactive staff interventions to proactive patient self-service options. Over the course of one year, the no-show rate decreased from 33% to 26%, avoiding 14,543 missed visits. The automation also preserved nearly $1 million in annual visit revenue and recovered approximately 1,838 staff hours, resulting in significant labor savings. The study highlights the measurable impact of combining proactive outreach with automation in improving patient engagement and operational efficiency.
