This research article presents a study on regenerative hospitality within two Lebanese Biosphere Reserves, focusing on the net-positive impacts of hospitality businesses on local ecosystems and communities. The study employs a mixed-methods approach, including descriptive surveys, social network analysis, and semi-structured interviews to gather data. The objectives include assessing the contributions of hospitality to place and people intelligence, understanding travelers' perceptions of regeneration, and identifying unique characteristics of regenerative hospitality in rural Lebanon. The findings indicate a shift from traditional sustainability practices towards a regenerative mindset, emphasizing the importance of ecological and social contributions. The research highlights the need for hospitality businesses to engage with their natural and social environments actively. It also discusses the challenges faced by small hospitality operators in adopting sustainability standards and suggests that a bottom-up approach is essential for meaningful engagement with regenerative practices.
