This report addresses the needs of neurodivergent individuals, specifically focusing on ADHD, within the context of creating a brain healthy workplace. It extends the framework outlined in the HKS Creating a Brain Healthy Workplace report by validating its applicability and identifying gaps from a neurodiversity perspective. The report reviews literature and incorporates insights from HKS neurodivergent employees to highlight the unique strengths and challenges faced by individuals with ADHD in the workplace. It discusses nine strategies, five affordances, and three habits that can foster an inclusive environment. The report emphasizes the importance of creating spaces that accommodate the diverse needs of ADHD employees, suggesting that implementing these strategies can lead to a more inclusive workplace culture. It also notes that while the strategies are tailored for those already in the workforce, they may eventually support individuals who require more assistance. The document serves as a conversation starter to include neurodivergent needs in workplace design.
