This case study details the Boston Celtics' initiative to enhance their security infrastructure in preparation for a new practice facility. The organization faced challenges with an outdated access control system and insufficient video surveillance capabilities across their existing facilities. To address these issues, the Celtics collaborated with CGL Electronic Security, Inc. to implement a unified access control and video management system utilizing LenelS2 technology. The solution included the deployment of a converged NetBox VR system and Magic Monitor, which streamlines monitoring and retrieval of critical information. The upgraded system facilitates smooth onboarding and offboarding processes for employees and visitors while providing improved monitoring capabilities. The case study outlines the successful development of a security blueprint for the new facility, positioning the Celtics to integrate advanced technologies such as mobile device-based credentials and facial recognition in the future. This initiative reflects the organization's commitment to maintaining a secure environment for all users of their facilities.
