Summary
This case study documents the experiences of four delegates from the New Model Institute for Technology and Engineering (NMITE) who participated in the ILM Level 3 Certificate in Leadership & Management course. The course aimed to enhance their leadership skills and provide accredited qualifications. Each delegate had unique motivations for enrolling, ranging from career development to adapting to new responsibilities. The study outlines the delegates' reflections on their learning experiences, highlighting the value of peer interactions and the exploration of management styles. Challenges faced during the course, such as presentation nerves and time management, were addressed through support from fellow delegates and the course tutor. The outcomes of the course included improved communication skills, increased confidence, and practical applications of learned techniques in their roles.
