This case study details ZALORA's implementation of a bot mitigation solution to address challenges posed by automated bot attacks affecting its online fashion platform. ZALORA faced significant issues with bot operators attempting to purchase exclusive products for resale at inflated prices, which threatened the company's reputation. Additionally, the company experienced credential stuffing attacks, fake account creation, and web scraping, leading to increased operational costs and infrastructure strain. To combat these issues, ZALORA transitioned its content delivery network to Amazon CloudFront and evaluated various bot management solutions. After testing, ZALORA selected HUMAN for its advanced bot detection capabilities. The deployment resulted in a substantial increase in bot detection, identifying 400% more malicious bots compared to the previous solution.
