Aire Networks Cloud Migration and Disaster Recovery Case Study

This case study details the collaboration between Aire Networks, GlobalDots, and Hystax in executing cloud migration and disaster recovery projects. Aire Networks, a Wholesale Telecom Operator in Spain, aimed to enhance its service offerings by integrating cloud migration and disaster recovery solutions to minimize data loss and downtime during OpenStack migrations. With the implementation of Hystax Acura, Aire Networks successfully migrated over 100 customer virtual machines (VMs) to their cloud while ensuring around 50 VMs are protected by Hystax's disaster recovery solution. The study outlines the challenges faced by Aire Networks, including the need for a fully automated service for any-to-any cloud migration and the complexities of managing multiple simultaneous projects. The solution provided by Hystax included features such as consistent data replication, minimal recovery point and time objectives, and automated failback capabilities. The partnership has enabled Aire Networks to deliver efficient cloud services and safeguard critical data for their customers.
