This report presents findings from a survey conducted on Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC), organized by Reconnaissance in collaboration with IDEMIA Smart Identity. The survey, carried out between September and November 2024, gathered insights from PQC and Cyber Security professionals regarding their preparedness for the impending quantum computing era. The results indicate a high level of awareness about the potential impacts of quantum computing on existing cryptographic systems, with most respondents expressing confidence in their understanding. Despite this awareness, significant barriers to PQC adoption were identified, including a lack of knowledge, expertise, and clear regulations. The report outlines the urgency for organizations to transition to quantum-resistant solutions, as many professionals anticipate the reality of quantum computing within the next decade. Key recommendations include enhancing education on PQC technologies and establishing clear regulatory frameworks to support organizations in their transition efforts.
