This case study outlines the implementation of the ILINX platform at California State University (CSU) to address the challenges of disjointed information systems across various divisions. The university, serving over 30,000 students, faced issues with individual technology decisions that hindered interdepartmental access to student data. The solution involved creating a master folder for each student that followed them from application through graduation, utilizing ILINX Capture to extract and validate data, which eliminated duplication and supported collaboration. Additionally, ILINX Integrate facilitated the sharing of information with CSU's existing student information systems, allowing staff to access content without requiring further training. The implementation of this solution resulted in significant improvements, including a reduction in transcript processing time from six weeks to two days, thereby enhancing the overall student experience and streamlining university operations. This case study highlights the benefits of adopting a unified approach to student information management.
