This case study outlines the implementation of process automation for an international recreational vehicle manufacturer. The document describes the challenges faced by the manufacturer, which included a reliance on a manual document approval process that led to delays and reduced productivity across its US and Japanese operations. The manual process created bottlenecks as documents awaited executive approval, negatively impacting collaboration. To address these issues, ImageSource developed a solution using the ILINX platform, which introduced an electronic form (eForm) to streamline the approval process. This eForm incorporates built-in business logic to manage access and permissions, ensuring that required information is verified before progressing to automated workflows. The solution allows for remote access to related documents and final records are stored in the ILINX Content Store for retention. The implementation of this automation not only improved operational efficiency but also supported the manufacturer’s transition to a remote work environment, enhancing transparency between its locations.
