This technical report investigates the relationship between the usage of the Imagine Language & Literacy program and student performance on standardized reading assessments. The report outlines findings from studies conducted in various states, including Illinois and Texas, which demonstrate that students who engage with the program for at least 20 hours and pass 20 lessons show significant improvements in reading scores. Specifically, data from over 2,500 students in Illinois indicated that those who passed 20 or more lessons achieved the highest growth on the NWEA MAP Growth Reading assessment. Similarly, a Texas study highlighted that increased hours spent on the program correlated with higher STAAR Reading growth. The report further references an independent evaluation that found positive associations between program usage and DIBELS outcomes for younger students. The findings emphasize the importance of adhering to recommended usage levels to maximize literacy development across diverse student populations.
