This case study details the collaboration between GITAC and Immersive Labs to enhance cybersecurity training in Georgia through innovative cyber drills. GITAC, a non-profit organization focused on digital transformation and cyber resilience, recognized the limitations of traditional training methods and sought to implement a more modern approach. The partnership aimed to create realistic simulations of cyber crises, engaging various stakeholders from critical sectors. The first nationwide cyber drill involved nearly 100 participants and was designed around a simulated National Infrastructure Collapse scenario. Feedback indicated that the drill was effective and realistic, significantly improving individual preparedness and cross-sector resilience. The case study emphasizes the importance of public-private partnerships in critical information infrastructure protection and the need for immersive training methods. GITAC plans to further develop Georgian language-aligned simulation scenarios to enhance future training experiences, marking a pivotal advancement in the country's cybersecurity culture and resilience against cyber threats.
