This case study documents the implementation of Workday's HCM module by an engineering innovation organization to replace outdated HR systems. The organization, engaged in a significant transformation project, selected Workday for its functionality and integration capabilities with existing business systems. Impact Advisors was subcontracted to lead the implementation, leveraging their expertise in Workday and system integration. The project initially focused on the HCM module but evolved to include critical functionalities such as talent management and advanced compensation. The deployment involved close collaboration with client leadership and the establishment of a dedicated project manager to streamline efforts. Impact Advisors guided the organization in optimizing HR processes and developing 26 integrations with various systems. The successful implementation resulted in improved data quality, enhanced reporting, and increased employee satisfaction, transitioning HR processes from manual to automated workflows. Future opportunities for business process improvement are being explored as part of ongoing transformation efforts.
