McKinney National Airport Economic Impact Study FY2023

This report presents the findings of the economic impact study conducted for McKinney National Airport (TKI) for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2023. The study, commissioned by TKI and conducted by InterVISTAS Consulting Inc., evaluates the airport's economic contributions to Texas, highlighting significant growth in tenant operations and aviation activity. The report details the direct, indirect, and induced economic impacts associated with TKI's operations, including job creation and wage contributions. In FY2023, TKI supported 1,560 jobs, generating approximately $110 million in earnings and contributing over $165 million to the state's GDP. The report also outlines the economic effects of capital improvements and visitor spending, noting that TKI's operations and investments have made it a crucial economic driver for North Texas. Additionally, the study estimates the tax contributions to federal, state, and local governments resulting from these activities, amounting to nearly $38.5 million in FY2023.
