This case study details the implementation of Imprivata Enterprise Access Management at Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust to enhance clinical workflow efficiencies. The Trust faced challenges with cumbersome login processes that required clinicians to frequently log in and out of various applications, which consumed valuable time and increased stress levels among staff. The solution involved deploying Imprivata's single sign-on technology, which streamlined access to 32 patient systems and web-based applications for over 2,500 active users. As a result, clinicians reported saving between 15 and 30 minutes per shift, allowing for more face-to-face patient interaction. The implementation has also improved security and auditability, reducing the need for insecure practices like sharing passwords. The positive reception from clinicians has built goodwill and trust, setting a solid foundation for the Trust's future transition to a full electronic patient record system. This case study highlights the effectiveness of the Imprivata solution in addressing workflow inefficiencies and enhancing patient care.
