This case study outlines the implementation of a fourth-party logistics (4PL) program developed by Incora for a major global power systems manufacturer. The manufacturer faced significant challenges, including an On Time Delivery In Full (OTDIF) rate below 80%, management of over 50 suppliers, and high parts per million (PPM) rates. To address these issues, Incora partnered with the manufacturer to optimize their logistics operations, focusing on cost reduction, efficiency improvement, and enhanced delivery performance. The customized 4PL program included just-in-time delivery methods, advanced forecasting software, and comprehensive inventory management strategies. As a result of the program, Incora successfully managed over 1,700 incoming deliveries weekly and improved the OTDIF rate to over 99%. The program's success led to an expansion of Incora's management responsibilities to 28 global sites for the manufacturer, demonstrating significant operational improvements and cost savings.
