This case study details the implementation of prescriptive AI by Infinite Uptime at JK Tornel, a tire manufacturer. The focus is on enhancing the reliability of the Banbury Mixer, a critical asset in the production process. Traditional monitoring methods were insufficient, often detecting issues too late to prevent production disruptions. The introduction of continuous condition monitoring and prescriptive AI allowed for early fault detection, significantly improving maintenance workflows. The PlantOS™ system facilitated guided maintenance interventions and post-action validation, transforming reactive maintenance into proactive strategies. As a result, JK Tornel achieved notable outcomes, including the elimination of 376 hours of unplanned downtime and annual maintenance savings of $46,245. The implementation rate of the prescriptive recommendations reached 66.45%, with ongoing training aimed at increasing adoption rates. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to integrate reliability, process, and energy optimization across additional production assets.
