This case study details the cloud migration process undertaken by a leading logistics service provider to enhance its infrastructure. The primary objective was to develop a modern, agile, lean, and resilient infrastructure that aligns with the client’s time-sensitive delivery services. The implementation of a hybrid cloud operating model, utilizing Infinite MCOD and Azure, was a key component of the solution. This model extended the existing data center across EMEA and APAC regions, facilitating the migration of over 200 TB of storage to the cloud. The transition aimed to ensure consistent application performance and higher service availability, with a target of increasing public cloud movement by at least 70% over three years. The strategy included the use of Azure Migration Accelerator to minimize downtime and data loss during the migration. The case study outlines the benefits of achieving over 97% virtualization levels and establishing a standard catalogue to streamline operations and reduce time to market.
