This case study outlines the challenges faced by the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) in managing multiple pilot grant programs designed to support translational research. The university encountered difficulties in coordinating these competitions due to manual management and the use of separate systems. To address these challenges, MUSC adopted InfoReady as a centralized application and review platform. This solution enables various departments to independently manage their funding opportunities while maintaining consistent workflows and oversight. The implementation of InfoReady has resulted in improved program coordination and efficiency, allowing for easier management of simultaneous competitions, consistent application processes, faster onboarding of new administrators, and a reduced administrative workload. The case study highlights the positive impact of adopting a centralized platform on the university's grant management processes.
