This case study details how Tufts University’s Strategic Research Development team faced challenges in managing internal funding programs and limited submissions through manual processes. The team utilized spreadsheets and emails, which led to delays and errors due to disconnected systems. In response, Tufts implemented InfoReady to centralize and automate application and review workflows. The integration of tools like Pivot-RP for funding opportunities, along with custom templates, aimed to scale their efforts across various departments. A tiered service model was also developed to support different levels of InfoReady adoption, enhancing consistency and reducing duplication. Post-implementation, the university reported a 30% decrease in administrative time for managing funding, an increase in applications from 29 to 56 in one cycle, improved accuracy, and a faster setup process for opportunities. This strategic change has greatly improved operational efficiency within the university's funding programs.
